Neighbors United uses the NextDoor app to connect. Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed some changes on NextDoor. First, we extended our neighborhood boundary to include the 6th Ward and our neighbors along New Holland Ave. We believe that NextDoor is a great way to connect and we have good friends who are already a BIG part of Neighbors United that wanted to interact with us via social media. We hope they will now share the great news and invite many friends to our meetings, events and to join us on NextDoor. Next, we saw an opportunity for our neighbors along Duke Street and inward. Some already attend our meetings and have connected with us at neighborhood events. Unfortunately, there was a line drawn in NextDoor that did not allow our neighbors across the street to connect. Now the borders reflect our neighborhood outreach. We are pleased to see these changes. This is not just another app. NextDoor has become the main tool for communication in our neighborhood. As we look forward to the next few months, there will be even more excitement as we see how our partnership with the Lancaster City Alliance will positively impact our community. We hope to see you in person at our first neighborhood meeting of the New Year tomorrow, Wed, Jan 21, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (corner of N. Lime and E. New). We look forward to an informal time to get together, share a potluck meal and talk through our plans for 2015.
