Noah Miller and Andrew Whalen sat down with our LEAD SPONSOR The Shelley Snow Realtor Group to discuss ways that we can partner together to increase homeownership and improve the quality of life in our neighborhood.
Shelley Snow has been a licensed Realtor for over 20 years. The one constant is that the customer is always looking for a Realtor that can help them feel comfortable with the selling or purchasing process. Her years of experience and variety of learning opportunities assist Sellers and Buyers in making informed decisions about their real estate transaction.
Shelley recently launched a rewards program for referrals in our neighborhood. She will donate 10% of her commission from the sale of these homes towards Neighbors United's Safer, Greener, Cleaner initiative. To learn more, please contact The Shelley Snow Realtor Group and mention Neighbors United.

Shelley currently offers two homes in our neighborhood that are only one block from Urban Place. She believes that interest in our neighborhood is building momentum, because it is a wonderful place to both live and work.

Block Captains The Missing Link

Do you know your block captain?

If  your answer is "yes", great! Block Captains serve our community in many different capacities. They take the time to get to know their neighbors. They contact them with important news and invite them to community events. They report neighbors' concerns and serve as a link between them and various city organizations, including the LCA Bike Ambassadors. Most importantly, Block Captains look for opportunities to support the neighborhood. They may lend a hand by shoveling your sidewalk, raking leaves, picking up trash or even bringing in your groceries. Essentially, your Block Captain is a good neighbor.

If you answered "no", don't worry. There are many blocks without a designated block captain. Do you know someone who could fit that role? Maybe yourself?

Millie Kauffman and Adorable Baby Clothing All About Second Chances

We welcome Millie Kauffman and her newest venture, Adorable Baby Clothing, to the neighborhood!

Adorable Baby Clothing (ABC) is our neighborhood's newest consignment shop. Clean and colorful clothes, shoes and toys are curated for children from infant to 5T. Designer brands and store brands alike fill the racks. Truly, the shop is stunning.

Millie Kauffman, owner, believes in second chances. ABC is not just a store which gives clothing a second chance, it is also a reflection of her own victories in life that gave her a second chance to do what she really wanted to do.

Millie put much thought into the space. The room is bright and cheery. Beautiful birds, butterflies and other whimsical designs adorn the shelves and walls. Everything from her choice in design to the quality of clothing is testimony to the idea that she wanted to create a place where she would have no regrets shopping for her own grandchildren.

Second chances abound at ABC. The redesigned interior is a welcome improvement to our neighborhood's stock of retail space. The clothing is secondhand, reusing clothes is an economical alternative to throwing them out. Even the gift bags are made from recyclable materials.

Since ABC opened shop on the corner of North Shippen Street and East New Street on March 24th, Millie has met many neighbors who have found beautiful clothes for their loved little ones.

ABC is open Tuesday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. The shop is conveniently located along RRTA bus routes 2 and 5. Of course, most neighbors could easily walk to the store. ABC accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
